Association membership is open to all Australian and New Zealand not-for-profit or for-purpose organisations who are aligned in both vision and mission with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Association members are considered an integral part of the Lifestyle Medicine movement and a driving force in championing better health outcomes through evidence-based Lifestyle Medicine.

Eligibility

The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine welcomes applications from organisations that:

  • Are a not-for-profit or for-purpose legal entity.
  • Demonstrate vision and mission alignment with ASLM and the Lifestyle Medicine movement.
  • Are an Australian or New Zealand registered and/or based company.

Association members agree to adhere to the Member Charter at all times. All Association Memberships are subject to Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine Board review and approval.

HOW² Te Ako Charitable Trust

HOW² Te Ako Charitable Trust supports former refugees and ethnic communities in Palmerston North by providing health education, wellness and wellbeing services to promote healthy, sustainable lives. HOW² provide a culturally safe space for our community to meet with our health team. We run free workshops on Women’s health, heart health education (with guest cardiologists), Sun Safe with the Cancer Society, a Healthy Families programme (a safe space to talk about family violence) & many others. Activities include yoga, tai chi, art classes, sewing, cooking, gardening, outdoor sports, men’s coffee group, youth programmes etc. We also have a driving school who run simulator lessons as well as on-road, obtaining a driver’s licence is one of the necessities securing employment. 

The Men’s Table

The Men’s Table enhances men’s mental and emotional health by fostering meaningful friendships and community belonging. Their vision is “Healthy Men, Healthy Masculinities, Healthy Communities.” The Men’s Table creates and supports safe spaces, called Tables, for diverse men to have intentional conversations about their lives and wellbeing. These Tables promote openness and support, forming long-term connections. The program aims to establish 1,000 new Men’s Tables across Australia.
